Authorship Criteria
The Journal of Indonesian Rural and Regional Government (JIRReG) recognizes authorship as an important academic responsibility that reflects an individual's substantial contribution to the research and the preparation of a scholarly manuscript. This policy applies to all manuscripts submitted to JIRReG, particularly those concerning regional governance, village governance, community empowerment, public policy, decentralization, and related fields within the journal's scope.
To be recognized as an author, an individual must meet the following criteria:
-
Substantial Contribution: The author must have made a significant contribution to the conception or design of the research, data collection, data analysis, interpretation of findings, or development of the research framework.
-
Manuscript Preparation: The author must have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it to improve its important intellectual content.
-
Final Approval: The author must review and approve the final version of the manuscript before it is submitted for publication.
-
Accountability: The author must accept responsibility for their contribution to the research and cooperate in addressing questions concerning the accuracy, integrity, and originality of the work.
All individuals who meet the authorship criteria should be appropriately listed as authors. Contributions that do not meet these criteria, such as administrative assistance, funding support alone, or general supervision alone, should be acknowledged where appropriate rather than automatically qualifying for authorship.
The corresponding author is responsible for coordinating communication with the editorial office, ensuring that all authors have approved the submitted manuscript, confirming the author order, and providing accurate information about each author's contribution. All authors share responsibility for the integrity of the published work in accordance with their respective contributions.
JIRReG does not permit gift, guest, or honorary authorship, nor does it permit the omission of individuals who have made qualifying contributions. Any changes to the authorship or author order after submission must be justified and agreed upon by all affected authors, subject to editorial approval.
All authors must ensure that their manuscript is original, has been submitted in accordance with the journal's publication policies, and does not infringe upon the rights of others. Authors must also disclose relevant conflicts of interest and comply with the journal's research integrity and publication ethics requirements.
By submitting a manuscript to JIRReG, the corresponding author confirms that the authorship information is accurate and that all listed authors have approved the submission.
